A Busy Week for the Town Council

Group photo of St Just Town Councillors and library staffAfter taking on the ownership of the Library building on 1st November, town councillors met with Library staff and volunteers for a celebration with cake and bubbly, to mark the start of our new relationship. A good time was had by all.

The following day we presented our annual Feast Awards, following the Feast Sunday service in St Just Parish Church. This year’s recipients were:

  • Citizen of the Year: Alison Grose
  • Junior Citizen: Emily Earley
  • Sports Award: David Trezise
  • Community Group Award: St Just and District Cancer Research Committee

Congratulations to them all.

A New Era for St Just Library

St Just Library after the refurbishments

The future of St Just Library has been safeguarded for residents as part of a new partnership starting today between Cornwall Council and St Just Town Council.

Under the agreement the library has transferred to the Town Council after alterations were completed.
