The Town Council meets twice a month usually the second and fourth Monday’s of the month. All meetings are held in the Council Offices commencing at 7.15 p.m. Meetings last no longer than three hours and any unfinished business is carried over until the next meeting.

Council meetings are chaired by the Town Mayor and in his / her absence the Deputy Mayor presides. The public have fifteen minutes at the beginning of each meeting to put a question to the Council provided that due notice has been given to the Town Clerk.

Planning applications are dealt with at each meeting and a list of the applications to be discussed can be accessed with the agenda for the meeting. Anyone wishing to view an application can do so at the Town Clerk’s Office or via Cornwall Council’s online planning service http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=15927.

All Council meetings are open to the public to attend, except where business of a confidential nature is to be discussed. Public attendance at meetings is very much welcomed by the Town Councillors.
