The “Friends of Portherras Cove” are pleased to announce the return of the shipwreck exhibition “The Alacrity ~ Folkore and Fact” this August due to popular demand! It will run for a week between 6th-12th August at the Centre of Pendeen, and once again admission is free as this is a community heritage project. Additions to the exhibition include some exciting artefacts from the wreck (including the ship’s bell!) and more interviews and memories from local people involved in the original salvage operation and the exploding of the wreck in 1981.
