The Town Council is seeking a highly motivated individual who has excellent organisational, leadership and administrative abilities and a good knowledge of local government.
After taking on the ownership of the Library building on 1st November, town councillors met with Library staff and volunteers for a celebration with cake and bubbly, to mark the start of our new relationship. A good time was had by all.
The following day we presented our annual Feast Awards, following the Feast Sunday service in St Just Parish Church. This year’s recipients were:
- Citizen of the Year: Alison Grose
- Junior Citizen: Emily Earley
- Sports Award: David Trezise
- Community Group Award: St Just and District Cancer Research Committee

Councillors to be elected
An election is to be held of ONE Councillor for the Town.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Beverley Strick has ceased to be a member of St Just-in-Penwith Town Council and that a casual vacancy exists on the Council.

The future of St Just Library has been safeguarded for residents as part of a new partnership starting today between Cornwall Council and St Just Town Council.
Under the agreement the library has transferred to the Town Council after alterations were completed.
