The Second Neighbourhood Plan Public Meeting held in Pendeen on 17th January 2018 Report

It was good to see over seventy people turn out, despite miserable weather, including quite a few who were attending for the first time.  The meeting split into four discussion groups.Plans are now progressing for these four groups to meet again, as follows:

  • Steering Group – details awaited from James Hardy (Community Link Manager)
  • Community Engagement Task Group – meeting in the Council Office, St Just, on Wednesday 31st January at 7pm
  • Natural Environment Task Group – meeting in the Council Office, St Just, on Wednesday 7th February at 7pm
  • Built Environment Task Group – meeting in the Council Office, St Just, on Thursday 8th February at 7pm

Each group will now proceed to form a more formal ‘committee’ and will need a Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary to take notes and produce them, and each Task Group will report to the Steering Group.  If you are interested in being a part of one of these groups, please come along to the appropriate meeting. If you are unable to attend but wish to register your interest in one of the groups, please let me know. Thank you again for your interest.  Please get in touch if you want to know more, or if you wish to be removed from the mailing list.

The Neighbourhood Planning Public Meeting, St Just WI Hall

The Town Council would like to thank all those who attended the public meeting on 8 November 2017 who came to hear more about the planning process. Councillors collected the names of those who wanted to assist along with those who wanted to be kept informed with the plan’s development. The Council is planning the next themed event, and will place posters out and put details on this site once the date is agreed.

The plans’ development is at a very early stage in what could be a two year cycle to eventually get to a final Plan. Notes and presentation from the evening can be found on the links below.
