St Just Neighbourhood Development Plan
A Neighbourhood Plan is a development plan for a town or parish introduced under the 2011 Localism Act. It gives the opportunity for communities to shape the development of their area. The policies in the Plan do not change the Cornwall Local Plan but they reflect residents’ views about the character of the parish, where any development should go and what it will look like. The preparation of the St Just NDP began in 2017, organised by a group of community volunteers.
The draft St Just Plan below was approved by the community on 13 January 2022 and now carries full weight in planning decisions.
Information about the process of creating the Plan and the evidence used to support it can be accessed in the content from the Plan’s website below. Information about neighbourhood planning can be found on Cornwall Council’s website.
