Last Friday, the Town Clerk received an unexpected, but very welcome visit from the Children’s Ark, Pendeen.
About twenty childr
en and staff visited the Council Offices, the purpose of which was to present a “thank you” card from the children for the recent grant that the Town Council had given to the Ark towards the cost of a new outdoor play area. The play area has now been completed and as you can see is thoroughly enjoyed by all.
During the visit Elaine Baker, Town Clerk gave the children a tour of the Council Chamber where meetings of the Council are held. The children held a “mini-meeting” with a little bit of role play – apparently the staff were amazed at how alike in personality some of the children were to their role models!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable visit and one that will be remembered for a long time come.
