Lafrowda Car Park, St Just will be closed next Monday 15 December 2014 for white lining. However, parts of the car park will be re-opened as the lining works are completed in an attempt to keep disruption to a minimum. The work is also weather dependent as dry conditions are required.

Cllr Kevin McFadden, Mayor last night lit the annual midsummer bonfire on Chapel Carn Brea.
Kevin had been invited to light the fire by the Old Cornwall Society and was accompanied by other members of the Town Council. Kevin said ” It was a glorious evening and lovely to see these old traditions being kept alive”.

We have been advised by First Group of the following changes to some local services:-
Service 1/1A (Penzance – Lands End) Increased the frequency to offer up to two buses an hour during the summer period (24 May – 31 August inclusive). During this summer season it is hoped to run an open top on these routes most of the time. Service 1 travels between Penzance and Lands End via Newlyn, Lamorna, St Buryan, Sennen and Sennen Cove. Service 1A travels between Penzance and Lands End via Newlyn, Lamorna, St Buryan, Treen and Porthcurno.
